Compare products with a simple brief

Start with what the product must do, then compare the same things.

A comparison is easier when you know the job the product needs to do. Before opening another review, write a brief description of the situation in which you will use it.

Separate needs from preferences

List three requirements that would rule an option out if they were missing. Then list preferences you could trade off. For example, a required connection or physical dimension may matter more than a finish or an extra feature.

Use the same evidence

Compare the exact model and variant, not just the product family. Record the source and date for each important specification. Leave a blank when information is missing and ask the seller to confirm it; a guess should not quietly become a fact.

Include the ongoing work

Consider setup, space, compatible accessories and maintenance. Identify which costs are one-off and which recur. Do not assume an advertised headline price includes every item you need.

Decide what would change your mind

Write down the unanswered question for each shortlisted option. A focused demonstration or a clear written answer is more useful than collecting another page of general praise. TBYB does not claim to have tested the products you are comparing.
