About TBYB
Try thoughtfully. Choose confidently.
Practical guides to comparing products, planning a useful trial and making a purchase decision with fewer unknowns.
Our purpose
Why TBYB exists
TBYB is an independent Olano publication about thoughtful product decisions. We help readers prepare comparisons, structure demonstrations and think through what ownership involves.
We currently publish editorial guides. We do not operate a marketplace, offer product trials or guarantee that a retailer accepts returns. Any trial, return, warranty or payment terms must be confirmed directly with the seller. Our guides are not hands-on product reviews.
This is a new publication and does not claim affiliation with any former operator of this domain.
What we cover
Guides for the questions that come up.
Sources beside the claims
Guides link the organisers, agencies, operators or developers they rely on, and say when those sources were checked.
Examples are labelled
Fictional examples and illustrative photographs are marked as such. Desk research is never presented as a visit, interview or test.
Corrections are welcome
Tell us what has changed, with a source, and we check it against the evidence and update the guide.
Who publishes TBYB
Published in Singapore by Olano.
TBYB is published in Singapore by Olano, which builds AI agents for businesses. Olano also writes practical guides of its own in its resource library. When one of our articles adapts ideas from those guides, a closing note says so and links the original.
We do not use our guides to promote Olano’s products, and the same editorial standards apply to every article.

Comparing options
Year-end sales 2026: compare the total price, not the discount
From 11.11 to 12.12, compare the final payable total. Use CCCS’s price transparency guidelines, a pre-sale price log and an illustrative checkout comparison.
Trying things out
Home trials and return windows: a first-week test plan
A return window only lowers risk if you use it. Read the terms before paying, write three tests and decide in the first week, with a fictional worked example.
Comparing options
Read the energy label: compare air-con and fridge running costs
Ticks show efficiency; kWh shows consumption. Rescale NEA’s energy label to your own hours and tariff, with an illustrative example and July 2026 listing rules.
